Alejandra Baiz Website: http://alejandra-baiz.weebly.com . Taino artist from Aguada, Puerto Rico. I had always felt something special painting portraits and the history behind every face. After traveling in Latin America, living and working in indigenous communities, I return to my country with a very strong artistic commitment, a deeper identity sense and the necessity to paint everything that identify us, what unify us. The thing that inspires me the most is the idea to do this for my people, to give back our values and our history. Each one of my paintings keep a bit of our history, the history of my people, the people found in my travels and my own history.
